Efficient Packet Selection for Deflection Routing,Deflection routing is the usual algorithm proposed for all-optical packet networks. We study the selection part of this algorithm: how to choose the packets which must be misdirected when resources are not sufficient. Using graph and algorithmic arguments, we prove some optimal and fast selection techniques which can be easily implemented.

A Floor Description Language as a Tool in the Process of Wireless Network Design,The paper describes a Floor Description Language (FDL) which could be used as a key chain in the process of wireless network design. Traditional ways of designing wireless networks are also presented. Numerical results and comparison with commercial systems summarizes the paper and proves FDL’s usability.

The Impact of the Degree of Self-Similarity on the NLREDwM Mechanism with Drop from Front StrategyThis paper examines the impact of the degree of self-similarity on the selected AQM mechanisms. During the tests we analyzed the length of the queue, the number of rejected packets and waiting times in queues. We use fractional Gaussian noise as a self-similar traffic source. The quantitative analysis is based on simulation.

Estimating the Intensity of Long-Range Dependence in Real and Synthetic Traffic Traces,This paper examines various techniques for estimating the intensity of Long-Range Dependence (LRD). Trial data sets with LRD are generated using Fractional Gaussian noise and Markov modulated Poisson process. The real data set collected in IITiS PAN is also used.
