Zusammenfassung und Konsequenzencs in the brain, especially glutamate, the most abundant excitatory neurotransmitter. Here, we discuss recent imaging approaches, particularly with a focus on the design and application of genetically encoded indicator iGluSnFR, in analyzing glutamate transients in vitro, ex vivo, and in vivo.

Gesellschaftliche Differenzierungs for several CNS disorders. Herein, we describe selected compounds that alter extracellular concentration of glutamate by modulating the function of glutamate transporters. Their relevance for further understanding glutamate transport mechanisms and for drug discovery and therapy development is also discussed.
