Atomic Mass Formulas with Empirical Shell Termsformula consists of a gross part and proton and neutron shell parts. The shell parameter values were determined by a new statistical method, whose essential point was to take into account the intrinsic error of the mass formula. Main characteristics of the formula thus obtained are presented.

Similarity relations and valued orders,A Q-value of -31.5762(30) MeV has been measured for the .C (.He, .He).C reaction. The mass of .C, when compared to its Coulomb analog levels in .B, .Be, and .Li, confirms a significant deviation from the quadratic form of the isobaric multiplet mass equation, with a cubic coefficient of d = 5.7 ± 1.5 keV.
