Hybrid PZT-FBG Sensing for Damage Detection in Structural Health Monitoring,strain sensors. In this approach elastic wave generation is based on PZT and sensing on PZT and FBG for the purpose of sensitivity analysis. Based on gathered signals for both types of sensors artificial damage detection is investigated in plate-like structures. Artificial damage in the form of additional mass is utilized.
