LAWRA Linear Algebra with Recursive Algorithmsorization for general matrices, and .. factorization for symmetric indefinite matrices using recursion are formulated in this paper. Performance graphs of our packed Cholesky and .. algorithms are presented here.

On the Efficiency of Scheduling Algorithms for Parallel Gaussian Elimination with Communication Delaondition when communications are overlapped by the computations. Using this analysis we propose a simple heuristic for scheduling Gaussian elimination tasks. We compare the efficiency of this scheduling algorithm with the efficiency of the block and cycling data distributions.

A Local Refinement Algorithm for Data Partitioninghere the workload changes slightly. The algorithm has been compared with corresponding methods in . and . in the context of multilevel partitioning. The cost of carrying out the partitioning with our method is lower than in . and of the same order as in ., and still the quality of the partitioning is comparable and in some cases even better.

Parallel Triangular Sylvester-Type Matrix Equation Solvers for SMP Systems Using Recursive Blocking effciency on shared memory processor (SMP) systems. Uniprocessor and SMP parallel performance results are presented and compared with results from existing LAPACK routines for solving this type of matrix equations.
