Rational computation in dioid algebra and its application to performance evaluation of Discrete Eve the computation of the periodic behavior is related to the Frobenius problem for linear diophantine equations. These algorithms have been implemented in MAPLE. An application to a simple flowshop is presented.

Computer algebra approaches to enzyme kinetics, previously intractable problem, using the method of Gr?bner Bases. We present an experimental example where kinetic parameters for individual enzymes are measured by making observations of a multi-enzyme system, and fitting these data to the rate law for the complete system.

For this, the use of symbolic calculus is of paramount importance and a computer program, in REDUCE symbolic language, is proposed.
