The effect observed is explained by a field induced Fermi-edge singularity caused by the Coulomb interaction between the tunnelling electron on the quantum dot and the partly spin-polarized Fermi sea in the Landau quantized three-dimensional emitter.

Andrew Hogue,Michael R. M. Jenkinthe lattice-matched system ZnSe/BeTe, which forms a type-II band alignment with a very high band offset, and on the strongly mismatched system CdSe/BeTe, which forms quantum dots. The experimental methods are Raman spectroscopy of interfacial vibration modes and electromodulation spectroscopy of electronic transitions across the interfaces.

Feature detection and matching,anization with standard lithographic and processing techniques. In addition, we address the scalability of rolled-up semiconductor nanotubes and present the surprising result that tube diameters from a few nanometers to several hundred nanometers are well-described by a macroscopic continuous mechanical model.
