Concrete Face Rockfill Dams, soon became a recognized and respected dam type alternative. A strong and reliable structural body,free of uplift or internal pressure problems, an ideally located impervious plane at the upstream face, together with simple and straightforward construction procedures, were the main attributes of this new type of dam.
