The mechanisms involved and the effects of various operating parameters on the performance of CWs have also been discussed, and the possibility for the optimization of the performance of such systems has been explored.

As a point of high importance, the reusability of the adsorbents after being used for these processes is also discussed, and recommendations for future studies are presented.
