A Survey of Scheduling Theory in Wireless Data Networks,t deal of attention in the literature. However, comparisons of results are sometimes difficult due to the fact that many different models have been studied. In this survey we describe some of the models that have been proposed and analyze the performance of different scheduling algorithms within these models.

Entropy, Inference, and Channel Coding, channel coding..A key finding is that the optimal distribution achieving channel capacity is typically discrete, and that the distribution achieving an optimal error exponent for rates below capacity is . discrete. We find that the resulting codes significantly out-perform traditional signal constellation schemes such as QAM and PSK.
