Climate Effects and Non-greenhouse Gas Emissions Associated with Transport Biofuel Life Cycles,t biofuels often do not have an advantage over current fossil gasoline and diesel. Options for improvement are discussed. These include restricting biofuel production to abandoned soils that currently sequester little carbon and use of harvest residues without reducing current soil carbon levels.
